The Hudson Cultural Alliance (HCA) is pleased to announce it has received a grant of $200,000 from the Massachusetts Cultural Council (MCC) for the Hudson Armory Project, a local initiative that looks to turn the Hudson Armory building into a public arts center.

The grant will support our mission to enrich Hudson’s diverse cultural economy by creating an environment in which the arts flourish and impacts positively the quality of life in Hudson. By collaborating with artists and arts organizations, community partners, and businesses in pursuit of mutual goals and richer cultural experiences that strengthen our broad array of arts resources and offerings, the Hudson Armory Project will promote excellence, education, diversity, and inclusion in the arts for all Hudson residents and neighboring communities.

Upon completion, the Armory building will stand as a central space where community members can come together for classes, art shows, farmers and flea markets, concerts, book sales, and other events on the banks of the Assabet River.

The $200,000 grant is contingent upon HCA raising matching funds. Community support continues to be paramount to the growth and success of the Hudson Armory Project, and the HCA is asking residents and local businesses for their help and financial support.
